Spending a day at the beach on Lake Michigan hunting for Petoskey stones is a favorite childhood memory of mine. I am always amazed at the beautiful colors and patterns that one can find in stones. Showcasing the beauty of those stones and creating something special that brings joy to the wearer makes me feel very lucky to call myself a jewelry artist!
I have made hundreds of jewelry pieces now with Petoskey stones and I never tire of them as each one has it's own individual beauty. I love combining them with crystals and pearls and sterling silver charms that help tell the story of Northern Michigan.
I am always learning and trying to grow my skills as an artist. Twice a year I attend the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts and take a week long class in some aspect of jewelry making. The school is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Georgia and I always have a wonderful time learning new skills and meeting with other artists.
My newest passion is working with mixed metals, copper, sterling, brass, and nickel. I love using the hammers and torch on the metal; creating unique pieces that showcase beautiful stones collected from around the world.
I am so glad you have visited my website and I hope you come back again soon!
